I'm indexing. I've got so much to do that I don't really have time to do anything else--like blogging. This is not the first time it has happened. As I've observed before, I tend to lose my mind while indexing certain books.
Franz Betz as Wotan |
"the story offers it first as a piece of charged material for ... reading, the scroll itself, a “golden book,” wrapped in yellow picked out with purple letters, is “perfumed with oil of sandalwood, and decorated with carved and gilt ivory bosses at either ends of the roller,” an object for ... pleasure."
"Ancient Greeks don’t do the woods..."
"Reading the mute expression of desire is always fraught with danger.."
Lessons of the week are rarely indexable. They are just sparkly.
