There are few things that can startle you as much as a doll--when you come upon one suddenly and think it's real, and then realize it's not, it's really creepy!Ruth Donnellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12305109099610123918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1773951083886676220.post-31552949525886316832010-05-31T17:13:41.212-07:002010-05-31T17:13:41.212-07:00Best of luck with your book!

Have you seen the documentary about women who care for very real looking baby dolls?

http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/educational/watch/v15565477Tt8Gmz96Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10147284664183496856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1773951083886676220.post-38194929419661561552010-05-22T08:16:10.254-07:002010-05-22T08:16:10.254-07:00I've never heard of this expression, but I'...I've never heard of this expression, but I'm definitely familiar with the revulsion. Wax replicas of people really creep me out, as do the life-size silicon dolls created (mainly in Japan) for men who are shy, disabled, or afraid of commitments with real human beings. There's something bizarre about perfect-looking things which look human but aren't. No zits, no athlete's foot, no personality quirks -- no personalities at all.
