Movie and Memory: A Message from Teen Me

The letters that authors have written to their teen selves are astonishing—rich and varied, but always, it feels to me, tender and loving of that younger self. I've wondered a little what I could say to myself, but, honestly, I have no advice. She did OK. 

But recently, the Web, through the random floatings of social media, gave me a little gift: A student film made in 1974. I wasn't the prime mover behind this film; I was just a participant. I remembered making it, but in a vague, word-bound way—watching it released the memory from the words. So here it is, a silent film, crazy with politics and joy, a message from Dear Teen Me...
